Introduction: the token Canadian

Hello!

I’m just writing to say hi and tell you a little bit about myself. I’m a 20 year old Canadian exchange student living in Maastricht for the year, studying at University College Maastricht. Back at home, I live in Vancouver, British Columbia but spend most of the year studying History at Queen’s University halfway across the country in Kingston, Ontario.

I love learning about… just everything. Part of the reason I chose to spend my exchange at University College Maastricht was the emphasis on cross-disciplinary learning, and I’m loving it so far! I also love theatre, reading and writing, drinking tea at all times of the day, and of course, travelling.

Coming from a huge university in a huge country, studying PBL-style in this tiny little country has definitely been a huge change, but it’s been an awesome one. Going from $500 flights just to get from Vancouver to Kingston, to €5 flights from Brussels to Venice has been pretty nice as well!

I hope you’ll enjoy my stories of my travels, my musings on life, and my struggles to be discussion leader over the course of the next few months!

I'm a 20 year old Canadian exchange student studying for the year at University College Maastricht. The rest of the time I study history at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, but I'm still a Vancouverite at heart. I'm an amateur traveller and drinker of tea, in love with learning and with life.
