Promote Maastricht University on Chinese Social Networks
These two weeks, I took a lot photos of Maastricht University and posted on Renren.com, the so-called Chinese Facebook. Renren.com is the biggest social website in China which has more than 120 million users. There are some potential students of Maastricht University on that social website. I think these pictures are really appealing. A lot of friends showed great intrest and asked many questions. Maastricht University is not that famous in mainland China, in fact, all Dutch universities are not well-known in China compared with many universities in North America and England. I somehow analyze this phenomenon by telling people that it’s because America has famous basketball association and England has famous football league. If Dutch universities promoted themselves in China during 1990′s when Ajax could still win Champion’s league, they would get pretty result. Just kidding…
