Restaurants Maastricht

Beluga Next Door:

This is a great restaurant and the perfect place to bring family members when they come visit.  It is on this side of the river and near the Rosa Luna gelateria.  There is a Beluga (3 Michelin stars) and Beluga Next Door, both are owned by the same person.  If you are interested in going to Beluga you should make a reservation a month of two in advanced.  There are similarities between the two menus but for the most part they are different.  It is really tiny but the decor is very chic, depending on when you go it may get very hot inside.  My dad got the traditional dish and absolutely loved it; this consisted of eggs, asparagus, and cheese.  My mom and I were not as adventurous and went for the fish, which was very good.  I would also highly recommend the capirihna, similar to a mojito without the mint.  The manager and waiter were very friendly and gave me a few other places to go in Maastricht.  Hope you enjoy it!

KIWI:

This restaurant is located next to the CES student service building.  At first I thought it was the equivalent to a cafeteria but when I finally ventured in, I realized it was a student restaurant.  It has great drinks including mojitos, sex on the beach, and pina coladas.  They have different types of food including Asian, Italian, tapas, and an assortment of salads.  It is priced for students and has a great atmosphere.  Highly recommended by Kara and me.
